Gin Pole | TWIN BUNDLE | Horizontal Rigging

Written By: Lance Piatt

We’ve moved ourself down now looking at, the opposite end of the control side. We’re on the gin pole side, the “A” frame being the other side. And, let’s just talk about this real quick. Again, very similar to what we had with the single track line. We have the the twin bundle track line right now. We’re still guiding the guying the gin pole the same way. We have opposing prusiks either side, but we like to have a prusik on each rope.

Sometimes we can take a prusik and bundle both ropes together if I still have enough material to get back here.

I like to see a little longer prusik right here. If we had a shorter prusik, you could see where there’s a tendency to maybe bite down a little bit on on these, guying systems or on the track line itself.

The longer prusik seems to flow a little nicer… a little elongation – it’s more of a back tie configuration for us.

Also, you know, you still see the aspect side to side. So we have this configuration going side to side, opposing prusiks front and back.

So we have a quad guiding system for a gin pull.
