How to Basic Ascent with the Petzl Ascension in a RAD System

The Petzl Ascension was designed for ascending and occasionally for hauling (progress capture). Its wide, ergonomic molded handle allows for a comfortable yet powerful grip.
The toothed cam with self-cleaning slot is almost perfect under any conditions (e.g. frozen or dirty ropes).

The lower and upper holes are designed for the Progress Lanyard and the Footpro foot loop as well as the for building a pulley or hauling system.

The RAD System Rapid Ascent and Descend is a simple enough mechanical advantage system using the Petzl Ascension, the Petzl Rig and or Petzl I’d and the Petzl Partner or the Petzl Mobile with the Petzl OK. For short and mobile projects with ascending and descending in the working at height environment.
