“Our strongest points are never far from our weakest links”. Is this really true? Whether individual or team, both are created to do amazing works. Teams are components of people, so there is no individual at all. So understanding and knowing how our lives are wrapped up with other people, is crucial. And since there is no such thing as a “self-made person” having a Proper Identity is the key to this question… Oneness!
The identity of a person and or a team are always connected. And connected by at least 4 Building Blocks or Themes. These themes are difficult to define and all overlap. In some sense, cannot exist without the other being present in some form.

Talent
Webster’s definition of talent is “any natural ability or power.” The key term here is “natural”. Carefully examining and refining the concept of talent may make it easier for you to recognize it in yourself and others. Talent is hard-wired (the baseline you start with at birth). It has been said that “knowledge and skills are learned, but talent is enduring”. Talent can’t be subordinated. It’s constant and enduring. That’s what makes it talent. Talents must be developed to be strengthened and refined.
Gift
A gift is bestowed or acquired without any particular effort by the recipient or without its being earned. It is “received”. A Gift will sit inside a Talent. A gift is a multiplier of anything it is given access to. A gift is given, for a purpose. That purpose may or may not always make sense, but it always given. A gift not used is advancement not obtained.
Ability
An ability is directly related to having the power or capacity to do or act physically, mentally, legally, morally, financially, etc. In other words… a catalyst brings two things together for an intended purpose. Without ability to “do something”, nothing really happens.
Strengths
A strength is the depth or level of your Talent. A strength is the ability to consistently provide a high-level performance in a specific activity. Talents are naturally recurring patterns of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied. Talents, knowledge, and skills — along with the time spent practicing, developing your skills, and building your knowledge base — combine to create your strengths. Thus, a strength can and should be measured.
What’s Next?
So, what do we do with this is information? Well, “All The World’s A Stage” and we are all performing. We have within the Rigging Lab Academy Membership, thousands of people of whom make up administrators, executives, technicians, students and artisans. And so getting back to the original thought, “our strongest points are never far from our weakest links” — individuals are always tied to a team of some sort.
We are born with talents and gifts we receive are used to refine those talents and having the ability to connect our talents with gifts. Our strengths become a measurement of our resourcefulness.
