How do you work safely at the edge of a structure or a cliff? Identification of edge hazards and know how to mitigate the hazards is what this video is about. The degree of angle is a huge factor in determining the hazards and dangers of going over the edge during a rescue. To do this would be to either move low towards the edge with “all fours”, or… use an “edge kit”. An AZTEK Kit being used as a progress limiting device. Another system could be a single line with a Petzl GriGri, I’d or any type of climbing rappel device. Travel restraint or fall arrest system would also be included in this work.
