IMPORTANT: 8 Anchoring Considerations That Will Save Your Life

Written By: Lance Piatt

Hi All!

I had to laugh the other day when, with a friend, he called me out on my “euphemisms”.

To understand this… the definition of euphemism is – “a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing”. I had too laugh because his innuendo was accurate – “an allusive or oblique remark or hint, typically a suggestive or disparaging one”.

I can go on and on  with this stuff. What started the conversation was a comment about anchors and life.  My statement :

“Rescue anchors are not just for rescuing people from danger. In a way, they are also like life-lines, providing safety and security in times of need. Just as you would use an anchor to keep a boat from drifting away, you can use rescue anchors to keep people safe in dangerous situations. And just as the heavy weight of an anchor can hold a boat in place, the strength and stability of a rescue anchor can keep people from being swept away”.

What brought this convo about the seemingly endless loops of disconnect I have with so many things and people.  Thus I began a moderate attempt to determine my plight.

  • Life
  • Safety
  • Security
  • Drifting
  • Danger
  • Strength
  • Stability
  • Swept Away

Simply put… Without Anchors, We Would Be Lost!  But With Them?…  On Earth As In Heaven!

I have included a few TECHNICAL THINGS  for more “meaty” stuff.

  1. Using Removable Anchors for Rescue and Rigging Are Great
  2. Why are Rescue and Rigging Anchors More Important than Anything Else?
  3. Bombproof Anchors – Anchor Considerations in Rope Rigging Systems

Peace on your Days!
